Coaching staff, ambitions, and CLF#3 with Alan (SCP coach)

While the announcement of Clash of the Rift #3 has been made, we had the pleasure of interviewing the SCP team's coach: Alan. An opportunity to discuss coaching, his ambitions, and his approach for this new competition.

The Wild Rift: Hi Alan! It's a pleasure to have you with us for this interview. First of all, could you introduce yourself for those who might not know you yet?

Alan: Hello, everyone! I'm Alan, a caster on The Wild Rift, and also the head of the e-sports department and Wild Rift coach for SCP. I'm 24 years old and have been in the Wild Rift e-sports scene for less than a year.

The Wild Rift: We know you well for your incredible casts on The Wild Rift. But what about Alan, the SCP coach? How do you interact with your players?

Alan: Coach Alan is just like in his casts: human, genuine, and dedicated. I put the same energy into my coaching as I do into my casting because, for me, it's the best way to transfer knowledge to others. It's important to create a real connection with the players to transform five individuals into a real team.

The Wild Rift: With CLF#3 on the horizon, can you tell us a bit about your roster and the players you've recruited in the past two months?

Alan: The recruitment took some time to kick off, but we're pretty happy with what we've achieved. We're still in the trial period for one position, but this CLF#3 looks promising for us!

The Wild Rift: We followed your team in Clash of the Rift #2. You qualified for Division 2 but had a tough time with 1 win and 4 losses. What are your goals for CLF#3?

Alan: We aim much higher for this 3rd edition. This time, we've been able to leverage our resources to create a roster capable of qualifying for Division 1 and then making it to the playoffs.

The Wild Rift: Are there any opponents that make you nervous? Justice League, having won the first two editions, might be a team you think you can beat with this new roster?

Alan: Certainly, if Justice League makes a comeback, they are clearly the team to beat, and we hope to be capable of reaching that level.
