Author : Kels le 26 Sept. 2023

On the occasion of the launch of the website for your mobile esports media, The Wild Rift, we handed the microphone over to one of our casters: Nibikun. It was an opportunity for us to discuss his journey, his dual role as a player and caster, and also to delve into the current meta on Wild Rift.

The Wild Rift: Hi Nibi, first of all, can you introduce yourself in a few words for those who may not know you yet?

Nibikun: Hello everyone, I've been a longtime caster/player and former Wild Rift streamer, approaching my thirties, and I've been bearded since I was 16!

The Wild Rift: You've been casting for The Wild Rift for over a year now; what drives you, what makes you passionate about this job?

Nibikun: I wish it were a job! As I mentioned, I started with streaming my point of view on Wild Rift, but my schedule made me stop that activity. The LFS team allowed me to get back on Twitch, even though initially, I also wanted to resume my own channel. I found in casting what I was looking for, which is sharing my passion for Wild Rift and the broader world of LOL, all while having a great time with the team. Something you may not necessarily get to do when you stream your POV.

The Wild Rift: You cast, but you also play! We've seen you on the other side in the Choc de la Faille 2nd edition; if you had to choose... Casting or playing?

Nibikun: That's a rather tricky question. I would say whichever offers a significant opportunity to make it a full-time activity first. And both are very complementary. Someday, I might consider coaching/casting.

The Wild Rift: Ah, interesting! You have a good understanding of the game and the meta. What do you currently enjoy at this level, and from a casting perspective, is this meta enjoyable to cast?

Nibikun: From a competitive standpoint, I love this meta; it's very enjoyable because there isn't just one path to victory. We witness many different strategies based on team archetypes, and numerous viable responses are possible to date. It brings a lot of diversity to the cast, and we never get bored.

The Wild Rift: The Choc de la Faille is coming back soon for its 3rd edition. Will we find you in the rift with a team, or rather on the cast, or maybe both?

Nibikun: If all goes well, I hope to put on a show both in casting and on the Rift!

The Wild Rift: That's all we wish for you! Any final words to conclude?

Nibikun: I hope we'll have more great years on Wild Rift with everything on the horizon!
